Preparation involves scraping, caulking, repairing, sanding and priming. We use quality products on every job and maintain the highest level of workmanship throughout. We can also supply you with ideas on interior design and color choice, so you are sure to get your money's worth from Braham's Universal.

Some Tips:
1. Choose a color that enhances the roof, brickwork, stones etc.
2. Avoid colors that might clash with your neighbors' color choices.
3. Study your colors, even put a sample on the house, then look at the color from different angles.
4. Tie the colors in with the landscape. Complement the colors of the garden and flowers.
5. Ask a professional for their suggestions before making a decision.
6. Aluminum siding needs to be power washed with trisodium phosphate (TSP).
7. Keep in mind that primary colors (red, blue and yellow) will fade quicker.
8. Do not paint in the direct sunlight with temperatures above 80 degrees.

Acoustical (Popcorn) Ceiling removal:
These ceilings were  fad in the 1960's and are still p today.  In 1978 products containing
asbestos were banned for the ho use by the Government Regulators and this affected the manufacture
and installation of most accoustical ceilings. so any installed before 1978 should be removed by a
professional.

Splatter (Orange Peel) :
      This texture ranges from a series of small "specs" of splatter to an overall spray much like the texture of an orange peel.

Knockdown:
The most popular, it gives you a southwest, stucco effect. With a flat wall we can give you a
two-tone knockdown effect that will be talked about for years to come or a single color that is stylish. Hides imperfections on walls and ceilings and saves alot of expensive repairs. Easy to Paint over.

coated with a joint compound to give you a NEW wall or ceiling effect.

Acoustical Ceiling texture will hide rough-looking ceilings, give you a new look and we can add glitter to give it more of a effect.

Turn your regular openings in your home into "Archways". Coved openings will give your room a whole new dimensions.

Cleaning Roofs
Don’t Replace it. Restore it!
You can clean your roof for about 1% of the cost of replacing it. We can make your shingles look like new, free from the stains, algae, moss, pollen and mildew marring its natural beauty.

Roof stains can be an unsightly problem. Black streaked roofs, roofs with blotches, algae growth or shingle stains, even those with roof mold or roof fungus – call it what you like – it’s a real problem that can be restored to new condition.

Stained roofs are unattractive, reducing resale value and leading to premature replacement of shingles. Fortunately, Braham's Universal is there. We use bio-degradable cleaners with the proper psi for the best results.

Roof De-Icing
Roof de-icing is an important service because if too much snow is on your roof, it could collapse. With our top-notch de-icing service, you can rest easily, knowing that we will also de-ice your roof and gutters completely without any damage, using stream to remove the ice.

One problem de-icing can help with is ice dams. Ice dams are an ongoing problem during the months when temperatures reach 30 degrees or less. They build up near the edge of the roof and cause water to leak inside the home when they are not removed before melting starts. Here is how it works:

A. Snow melts over heated areas on the roof and runs down to the unheated eves and refreezes.
B. Ice builds up, forming an ice dam.
C. Water from melting snow backs up under the shingles and starts
     coming inside the house.

Here are some steps to take so you can eliminate or prevent ice dams:

1. Do not chop the ice. You might damage shingles or gutters.
2. Remove the snow above the ice dams.
3. Properly insulate and vent your home.
4. Call Braham’s Universal to remove the ice.
5. The best way to prevent ice dams is to clear 3 to 5 feet of snow from the edge after each snowfall.

Auto Detailing
Here is some quick info about our auto detailing services.

Interior
We thoroughly vacuum the vehicles interior and trunk, purging all of the hard to reach areas with compressed air. Then we use shampoo on all carpeting and upholstery, and clean all interior surfaces, including vinyl, plastic and wood surfaces. We then apply protectant to interior surfaces, cleaning all interior leather before applying conditioner. 45.00-75.00

Exterior
We hand wash and dry the entire exterior. We clean and dress the wheels and tires, clean and dress all exterior trim and finally clean all exterior glass and mirrors. 35.00-55.00  

Mini Detail
We hand wash and dry exterior, cleaning and dressing the rims and tires. We shampoo the carpet and floor mats, then clean the dash and instrument panel. We clean the windows, inside and out. Lastly, we clean the exterior rubber and moldings. 75.00 Small  90.00 Medium  125.00 Large

Complete Detail
We hand wash and dry the exterior, clean and dress the rims and tires. We shampoo the carpet and floor mats, condition and protect the leather and fabric, clean the dash and instrument panel before cleaning the windows, inside and out. Next, we clean and dress the exterior rubber and moldings, clean the doorjambs, and recondition the wheel wells. Next we use a three-step treatment, polishing, waxing and glazing. Roofing
Is your roof leaking or deteriorating? Do you want to give it a new look? Braham's Universal can replace or recover it.

Our jobs include replacing drip edge, installing ridge vents, stack boots, felt, ice / water, flashing and shingles.
Architectural shingles can give your house a whole new dimensional look at a cost of approximately 10.00 per SQ., more than the standard 3-in-1 tab shingle. We will replace any damaged wood on the roof. Call for an estimate!

Deck Restoration

How long should new wood weather prior to applying a stain or paint?
The best recommendation is that of the USDA’s Forest Products Laboratory. Let new wood weather 2-3 weeks, allowing the moisture content to lower with excessive exposure to the sun’s harmful ultra violet (UV) rays.

1. Inspect surface for stains, mildew, UV sunlight damage and other conditions.
2. Tighten loose nails or screws.
3. Pre-treat deck with appropriate cleaners, then power wash with light pressure and rinse thoroughly. Professional contractors avoid the use of bleach.
4. Neutralize wood to balance pH of the wood.
5. After wood has dried to less than 15% moisture content, seal with a professional grade (preferably oil-based) sealer.

Semi-transparent stains allow the wood grain to be visible. Solid stains will last longer than semi-transparent stains. Several shades and colors are available. Call for upgraded ideas.
